Book review – Goodnight Starry

By D’Arcy Lewis.

This is a wonderful journey around our solar system and as the title may suggest, works really well as a bedtime read.

As the sun sets and gives way to the moon, we are taken on a little trip to say ‘goodnight’ to all the planets (including Pluto!). The lyrical and rhyming text is easy to read out and aids the flow, accompanied by a cheeky humour to make you smile.

The bold illustrations by Andrew McIntosh provide great character and personality to the planets and kids will enjoy choosing their favourite one.

This is a beautifully produced book. If you want to introduce you children to the solar system, then this is the one to get!
