Book Review – A Child of Books

A Child of Books by Oliver Jeffers and Sam Winston

This book is an intriguing and thought provoking exploration of the imagination that can come from reading.

Of course you can’t really go wrong with Oliver Jeffers who always manages to touch on something deep within us. Here he explores various genres of stories we have all loved and brings them to life beautifully with his illustrations.

The illustrations aren’t all however as this book is also very typographical and will appeal to all the graphic designers out there. Many classic stories such as Alice in Wonderland are referenced in the text and readers will find joy in picking them out.

In short it’s a grown up sort of children’s book that will appeal to adults as much as children.
